We were able to view a 91% partial solar eclipse eclipse today in Dayton. I set up in the driveway and projected the image with our binoculars onto a piece of cardstock. It was actually quite clear! Ryan was able to sneak home for a hour and celebrate with us. We drew the attention of a few neighbors who stopped by to take a look, and Dagny's friend Charlie shared his eclipse glasses with us. During the maximum eclipse it felt much cooler outside and was very quiet, even the crickets stopped chirping for a while. This has definitely been one of our favorite homeschool days!
